Events in the galleries may begin any time after the museum closes, which is usually at 5:00 p.m., or on Wednesdays when the museum is closed. Meetings in the Conference Room can take place any time throughout the day.
For the safety of the art on display, the museum has a clear-beverage-only policy that must be adhered to in the rented galleries when guests are standing. Dark beverages (red wine, dark-colored sodas, dark beers, coffee, etc.) may only be consumed when guests are seated in galleries where artwork is present. Dark liquids are allowed in the lobby and museum store whether guests are standing or seated. Please inquire with museum staff for specifics.
The museum’s kitchen has been completely remodeled thanks to the generosity of ROHL LLC and Laguna Art Museum board member Lou Rohl. The kitchen (which was originally built in 1986) has been transformed with a modern and sleek design, which focuses on space saving and the needs of caterers. Some of the features of the new kitchen include state-of-the-art Viking Brand appliances including a large oven, large warming drawers, and a Viking Designer stove top. Other features include roll-out prep carts that tuck away neatly under new granite composite countertops and a beautiful ROHL luxury sink and faucet. The museum’s kitchen has all that your caterer will need, including an electric oven, a broiler, a gas range, warming drawers, counter space, a dish washer, a double-sink with garbage disposal, and more.
The museum has the equipment you need to ensure that your event’s audio and visual needs are met, including an in-house PA system, speakers, microphones, laptop computers, projectors, and projection screens for presentations.
Although the museum does not have a parking lot, metered parking is available on the streets directly surrounding the museum. In addition, the museum can recommend reputable valet companies.
