Art Access: The Desert, A Day to Remember
.

.
On March 26, Laguna Art Museum hosted the inaugural Art Access: The Desert, a special fundraising event benefiting the Museum’s education and exhibition programs.
.
Laguna Art Museum Board President, Robert Hayden III (who hosted Part 2 of Art Access: The Desert with a fabulous dinner at his gorgeous Palm Springs home), recounts his most memorable Art Access moments:
.
“Based on comments from Art Access: The Desert attendees, this was a day to remember! My favorite moments of the day: meeting artist Chuck Arnoldi; eating Kimchi quesadillas from Kogi BBQ-To-Go and coffee toffee ice cream served between double chocolate cookies with grey sea salt from COOLHAUS; experiencing the amazing vista over the Coachella Valley from the beautiful home and studio of sculptor Mary Anne Emett-Turley; becoming mesmerized by a large-scale painting by Sam Francis in the dining room of our second stop—a very special (and private) collector’s home; enjoying a dinner of delicate Dover sole meuniére with saffron potatoes and fresh asparagus by Executive Chef Jean Paul Lair of Le Vallauris restaurant which was perfectly paired with Hill Family Estate Carly’s Cuvee Chardonnay and poured by proprietor Ryan Hill; and engaging in an outdoor fireside chat with artists John Sonsini and Tony DeLap that went well into the late hours of the evening. I sincerely thank the organizing committee and Museum staff who worked so hard to make this event a resounding success.” ~ Robert Hayden III
