Born in San Diego in 1983, Brittany Ryan received her formal education at the Laguna College of Art and Design, graduating in 2005 with a BFA in Illustration and Sculpture. In 2008 she studied portrait painting at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. She later earned an MFA from LCAD, and in 2010 debuted her thesis work in an exhibition entitled The Dress Makes the Girl. Ryan lives and works in Laguna Beach, where she is now a lead faculty member and coordinator for LCAD’s sculpture department.
