David Milton was born in New York City in 1947. His early studies at the renowned Art Students League spurred him to pursue a BFA at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MFA at San Jose State University. Working with both oils and watercolor, he has devoted most of his career to finding, painting, and documenting the vanishing icons and landmarks of twentieth-century America. Milton’s work has been exhibited in several museums, including the Palm Springs Desert Museum, Laguna Art Museum, the Winston Churchill Museum, the Taos Art Museum, and the Mississippi Museum of Art. He is represented in numerous private and corporate collections, including those of Twentieth Century Fox in Los Angeles and the Bank of America World Headquarters in San Francisco.
