A lifelong artist, Eric Nash has a BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. Early in his career he worked as an advertising art director in Chicago. In 2000 he moved to Los Angeles, where he first came to popular attention. Since then he has had numerous solo shows and been included in many group and museum shows. Donum is from a recent series in which he departs from the urban Pop Art and Photorealist imagery seen in much of his work to focus on larger-than-life charcoal studies of ravens, each with a Latin title. “Donum” means “gift.”
