The Los Angeles-based Frank Gehry is probably the best known name in architecture today. His highly distinctive and sculptural buildings serve as major landmarks in cities around the world. They are fluid and dislocated, expressing an antipathy to the formal and the rational, challenging the way architectural space has traditionally been conceived. He is an artist at heart, with a deep understanding and appreciation for art history, and his sketches and prints are integral to his work as a whole. Produced in collaboration with the renowned printmaking studio Gemini G.E.L., this etching triptych provides a window into the creative process of one of contemporary art’s most prominent figures.
