Pablo Tesak made the journey from war-torn Europe to El Salvador with a singular love of art and culture guiding him. Stopping off in Chicago, Tesak spent 2 of the 5 dollars he had on his person on a small drawing which is still a part of his now extensive collection. On display are selections from both Latin and European artists creating between the 1930’s through the 70’s. While all expressing a deeply individualistic style and choice of subject matter, the architect of the collection, Pablo Tesak himself shines through in the work’s shared sense of narrative whimsy.
