Los Angeles native Devon Tsuno paints with spray paint and acrylic. His recent body of abstract paintings on handmade papers focuses on the LA landscape’s non-native vegetation.

Tsuno received a BFA from California State University, Long Beach in 2002, and an MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 2005. Since 2003 he has worked as the founder/director of Concrete Walls, an artist-run curatorial project that focuses on building community. He is also passionate about teaching, and has been an instructor at CSU Long Beach, California State Summer School for the Arts at Cal Arts, Cypress College, Idyllwild Arts, East Los Angeles College, and the University of La Verne. He has exhibited his work in Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and New Zealand.
