An in-depth look at the 125-year tradition of greeting in Laguna Beach.

The film explores Laguna Beach, a bustling art colony formed in the early 1900s and inhabited by an assortment of eclectic characters, galleries, and artists. What is it about this community that has spawned a phenomenon whereby people show up to fill the role of “The Greeter,” both officially and unofficially, over the past 125 years?

What the Greeters all had in common was a deep love for humanity and a genuine desire to connect, making each person’s day brighter with a smile and a wave. The film highlights that they accomplished more than that; by accepting themselves and sharing their gifts, the Greeters encourage all of us to accept others and embrace and celebrate our differences.
