The Laguna Beach Film Society showcases independent films and filmmakers and searches the world to bring the most current and appealing new films and shorts to Laguna Beach every month.

Screenings are held the third Thursday of each month and include pre-film receptions at Laguna Art museum. Additional special events include feature documentaries, panel discussions, silent films, and exclusive showings of new releases.

Laguna Beach Film Society audiences are enriched with the artistic insight of directors, actors, and filmmakers who present their ideas during the pre-film reception.

All monthly film screenings are held at South Coast Cinema Theater (located on Coast Highway) in Laguna Beach. Film Society members and their guests are invited to the pre-film receptions which take place at 6:00 p.m. at Laguna Art Museum which includes wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Screenings and receptions are FREE to LBFS Members, $20 for guests and public. Screening tickets only are available at South Coast Theater: $15 general, $10 students.

Curation for Laguna Beach Film Society is provided by Keiko Beatie of Cinema Paradise. The Laguna Beach Film Society is sponsored by Laguna Art Museum. Supporting sponsors include the Festival of the Arts, the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce, and the Laguna Beach Exchange Club. Membership dues are $150 a year for non-Museum Members,  and $125 for Museum Members.
