Heather MacDonald introduces the Getty’s Latin American and Latino Art initiative with museums across Southern California.

Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA is a far-reaching and ambitious exploration of Latin American and Latino art in dialogue with Los Angeles taking place from September 2017 through January 2018. Led by the Getty, Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA is a collaboration of arts institutions across Southern California.

Heather MacDonald is a senior program officer at the Getty Foundation, where she is responsible for grant making related to advancing museum-based scholarship and education, including the Getty Foundation’s grants for Pacific Standard Time: LA/LA. Prior to joining the Getty in March 2015, MacDonald was the Lillian and James H. Clark Associate Curator of European Art at the Dallas Museum of Art, where she spent nearly ten years developing exhibitions and publications, advancing collection research, and participating in educational and outreach projects. She began her museum career at the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. MacDonald received her PhD in the History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley.
