Tours of Laguna Canyon Foundation & Artist Paint Out

These private tours will provide additional opportunities to watch the participating artists in a paint out, and to raise awareness about Laguna Canyon Foundation, which is dedicated to preserving, protecting, enhancing, and promoting the South Coast Wilderness Area.

TOUR 1: Nix Nature Center and Little Sycamore Canyon Hike
LEVEL: Beginners
MEETING SPOT: Nix Nature Center
Please note that there is a $3.00 parking fee

Led by Laguna Canyon Foundation staff, visitors will be introduced to the award-winning Nix Nature Center and the spectacular colors of Little Sycamore Canyon. Following a tour of the visitor center, participants will take a short hike to Barbara’s Lake, Orange County’s only natural lake. Participants will see painters in action!

TOUR 2: Laurel Canyon Hike
LEVEL: Intermediate
MEETING SPOT: Willow Staging Area

Led by Laguna Canyon Foundation Staff, visitors will take a hike through Laurel Canyon, a scene depicted in numerous Plein Air scenes. Participants will be introduced to the region’s ecosystems and learn about how this wonderful wilderness was preserved. Participants will see painters in action!
