Become and Intern at Laguna Art Museum

Internships

Laguna Art Museum offers seasonal unpaid internships for college students and recent college graduates. Internships are offered in the following departments: Communications, Curatorial/Collections, Design/Installation, Development, Education, Library, and Special Events. Applicants should have a background or interest in art history, studio art, or museum studies. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate-level studies, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Academic credit can be arranged.

  • One day orientation with introductions from the head of each department.
  • Mentorship: The opportunity to spend valuable time with a seasoned museum professional.
  • Regular reviews to assure alignment with educational goals.
  • Increase in student’s professional network.
  • Involvement in the Southern California art scene with a hundred-year-old institution.
  • A complimentary Dual membership for one year.
  • A convivial, friendly work environment with a small, dynamic team.

Volunteer

There are many important ways in which volunteers contribute, making them one of Laguna Art Museum’s richest resources. There are frequent volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Typically, volunteers are requested at special events and family programs, and occasionally volunteers are requested to assist commissioned artists or for other special projects.
