Anna Hills served three terms as president of the Laguna Beach Art Association. A dynamic leader, she organized fundraising efforts for the construction of the new gallery that opened on this site in 1929. Hills painted the environs of Laguna Beach, along the coast as far north as Carmel, and in the desert near Banning and Hemet.
