While we are currently not able to gather physically due to Covid-19, our docents continue to offer virtual tours of the current exhibitions. Tours are conducted via live Zoom sessions, so all members of a tour group need access to a computer with internet connection and to Zoom. Just like in-person tours, virtual tours are designed to be interactive, age appropriate, and engaging. Please note that docent-guided virtual tours last about 30 minutes.
Virtual Group Tours
The museum offers virtual docent-guided tours for groups of two or more on a pay-as-you-wish basis. Virtual docent-guided tours are by appointment only and are available between 9:00 am and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tours are conducted via live Zoom sessions, so all members of the tour group need access to a computer with internet connection and to Zoom. The museum recommends that you book your tour two weeks in advance to reserve the date and time that works best for you and your group.
Public Tours with Docents
Our daily 11:00 a.m. public tours are currently on hold. Please consider booking a virtual group tour instead.
Laguna Art Museum offers virtual, interactive school tours for all grade levels free of charge. Tours are facilitated by highly-trained docents and are designed to let students be active participants in the process of looking at, learning about, and enjoying art. Tours are conducted via live Zoom sessions, so all members of the tour group need access to a computer with internet connection and to Zoom. The education department consults closely with teachers to ensure that thematic tours enhance classroom learning and support curriculum objectives. The museum also offers an instructional video on an optional art-making activity that responds to what students have seen in conjunction with a tour.
Self-guided groups are welcome, provided that the groups are small enough for everyone in a group to adhere to physical distancing guidelines.
