What's It All About?

The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture & Industry, which is part of the Riverside Art Museum, focuses on showcasing and analyzing Chicano art from different parts of the United States. This center is a product of the collaborative efforts of Cheech Marin, a stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and art collector, who has donated or promised his collection of over 700 Chicano art pieces. The center aims to become an institution of the highest quality for the research and examination of “all things Chicano art.” It is the first museum facility in North America that is solely dedicated to Mexican American and Chicano art.

Guests will be given a private tour of The Cheech Center and Riverside Museum. Afterward, they will have the opportunity to explore the museum on their own before heading to a group lunch and meet and greet with internationally known artist, John Sonsini.
