Laguna Beach Literary Laureate Lojo Simon introduces a screening of Capote. The 2005 biographical film about Truman Capote, based on Gerald Clarke’s biography Capote and directed by Bennett Miller, follows the events during the writing of Capote’s non-fiction book In Cold Blood. Philip Seymour Hoffman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his critically acclaimed portrayal of the title character.

LAM Goes BOOM: A Pride Celebration
To celebrate Pride Month, join the Laguna Art Museum for a night to pay homage to Laguna’s bygone gay bars like the famed The Boom Boom Room. Fred Karger’s documentary Save the Boom will be screened in the museum’s galleries, and then let the dancing begin with DJ SoulFire!
