About the Artists

Trio MIZMOR

Garik Terzian has performed extensively throughout the former Soviet Union, the United States, Mexico, Spain, Ireland and the Czech Republic. He has appeared frequently as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra and various orchestras in Mexico. He has worked with the Armenian State Chamber Orchestra, the Armenian Vertuosi Chamber Orchestra, the Beverly Hills Chamber Orchestra, and the South Bay Chamber Orchestra. He is a member of Los Angeles based award winning Elixir Piano Trio. Mr. Terzian received his Master of Music Degree in Cello Performance, having studied with Los Angeles Philharmonic Principal Emeritus Ron Leonard. He has been featured in live radio broadcasts on KUSC “Sundays at Four,” Los Angeles. Mr. Terzian serves on the faculty of East Los Angeles College.

 

Matt Nabours, Principal violist of the Mozart Classical Orchestra started studying piano in elementary school. An alumnus of Colburn School of Music and UCLA, Matt is an active freelance musician having performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Pacific Symphony, California Philharmonic and New West Symphony. He has worked with Zubin Mehta, Michael Tilson Thomas, Andrea Bocelli, Stevie Wonder and Placido Domingo. He records often for the Hollywood TV and Motion Picture Recording Studio Orchestra. Marzena Nabours, Matt’s wife, is Principal Bassoon with the Mozart Classical Orchestra.

 

As a violinist, Limor Toren enjoys an active career, performing as soloist, chamber musician and symphony player.  She has collaborated with Mstislav Rostropovich, Natalia Gutman, Evgeny Kisin, Barbara Hendricks, Sara Chang, Midori, Emanuel Ax, and Isaac Stern.  She also performed under the baton of Anjey Brusilov, Sergio Comissiona, Jacek Kaspszyk, Kurt Mazur, Zubin Mehta and Kurt Sanderling. Ms. Toren’s recent performances include Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto with the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Orchestra. and the Beethoven Violin Concerto with Mozart Classical Orchestra. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music. A distinguished member of the faculty of C.S. U. Fresno, Ms. Toren is the current Concertmaster of the Mozart Classical Orchestra.
