The museum’s director of design and installation, Tim Schwab, introduces a personal favorite film.
In Under the Silver Lake, a disenchanted 33-year-old discovers a mysterious woman frolicking in his apartment’s swimming pool. When she vanishes, he embarks on a surreal quest across Los Angeles to decode the secret behind her disappearance, leading him into the murkiest depths of mystery, scandal, and conspiracy in the City of Angels. The neo-noir black comedy conspiracy thriller film premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Palme d’Or.
