Inspiration

Dots of Color

Granville Redmond was known for his paintings of poppies. In fact, he was California’s foremost painter of poppies in the landscape and began painting them just as they became the symbol for California. He used many different techniques when painting poppies and pointillism was one of them. Pointillism is a technique of painting using tiny dots of various colors, which become blended in the viewer’s eye.
